About Us

"All I need is a tall ship, and a star to sail her by."John Masefeild

Welcome aboard to the "About Us" which we all know is so much fun to write.  Here goes...

The Crow's Nest is celebrating its fourth year in business, which has been unbelieveable....time has gone by so fast.  Cheryl and I would like to thank everyone that has made this dream possible.

Cheryl ("Mother"...because every pirate needs a mother) McNeal has been honing in on her skills as a seamstress for over 25 years owning her own drapery and fabric accessory workshop in Woodstock Vermont. For the last four years she has taken on the daunting task of being the main seamstress for The Crow's Nest.  God Bless her!

Scott ("Captain") McNeal that's me, is a jack of all trades, a true believer of the Renaissance Man mentality, and I love being creative.  I have worked in the customer service industry for thirty eight years, and still love it, believe it or not.  Ten of those years has been in the Renaissance Faire industry where our first buisness started with Crown and Feather.  From there, we have grown to four shops at the New York Renaissance Faire (Crown and Feather, The Crow's Nest, Scallywags, and Siren's Song).  Come by and say hello if you're in the Tuxedo, New York area during faire season.
